In addition to sorting diamonds by color and clarity, Gem Source International diamonds are also sorted into four distinct categories of make; Ideal, Excellent, Very Good and Good.

Buyers for whom symmetry and polish are of paramount concern can choose from a wide selection of Ideal and Excellent makes, while those not requiring such strict specifications can choose either the Very Good, or Good makes.

Melees & Mid-Size Diamonds: Gem Source International's diamond production is divided into two main categories; Melee, and Mid-Size smalls. The Melee division produces stones ranging in size from one point (.01 ct.) to twenty-nine points (.29 ct.), while the Mid-Size division produces goods from thirty points (.30 ct.) through one half carat. Colors and Clarities of all Gem Source International diamonds range from D to H, and IF to VS respectively, and all stones can be purchased by individual millimeter sizes, or in Lots. Certified Diamonds: As an added special service, currently available only to existing clientele, Gem Source is happy to announce that we now carry larger, certified diamonds of the same excellent make as our Melee and Mid-Size assortment. Available in sizes up to 1.5 carats, stones are available with or without GIA certificates.
